Thanks for suggestions! So you are suggesting that when clicked it pops up some dropdown menu with choices dependes on item type (use, equip...) and when dragging i can add to other slots or drop to the ground where player stands. This is nice suggestion btw and i have idea how to implement this to be easily modified by the user Yes this inventory has crafting system where you can use blueprints to combine certain items into one item or you can use blind crafting where you fill crafting container with items and craft (item will be created if that combination exist in defined database). What do you mean by real time crafting if not something from existing?

Exactly Okay and difference between grid crafting and real time construction, so grid crafting is your everyday minecraft style crafting you have a 4x4 or whatever size grid and crafting depends on item placement within the grid, then real time construction is more like The Forest, or H1Z1 where you go into your inventory, or it tell you on screen how much of what you have, and you have a "transparent guide" of what the item will look like when built and you simply drag the "guide" to where you want it "I think they use rigid bodies" then it is placed and you press whatever button assigned to place the items and start filling the guide see this video for an idea youtu.be/KJPGiCZ2Fqo

btw I am not sure how to design this but as for creating the transparent guide just my two cents I would look into using transform, so a model is imported "hopefully a easy process" then assigned some script that tells it that it is a craftable item, once this is determined it checks to see a simple built = yes or no if no use a transform mask the entire object transparent then duplicate the single objects "e.g. log" and snap it to the position where it lines up with the craft-able time and once filled then delete the transformed object and just parent the "snapped" objects together or have the original completed model replace the individual pieces without the transform mask.

I see your point, just watched that forest thing, it is cool feature, once i am done with these things i will add something like that. About that contruction white things, it is just shaders, placed one object with transparent shaders and once all requirements are met, shader changes and collider is acivated. Thanks for info

Sounds great, btw if you really do make this 100% functional with UFPS I really will pay a decent chunk of change to your paypal. There are a few ways to intigrate it, one is create a prefab of a weapon, but in reality have that "weapon" be game object that is parented and the game object changes based on the item picked up/crafter/equipped, or UFPS does have a built in inventory system but it is only for granting a "license" to use a weapon or can not use a weapon, but can maybe call on that and have us build our own "weapon" for every item we create...not sure just some ideas but it is a very extensive project and I am 100% sure it can be done even 7 day to die is switching to it on this next update and they have the same inventory/crafting system I am looking to start with so I know it is possible. Sorry to keep bringing UFPS up but NOBODY has a public asset available that is compatible with it and this is by far the best FPS creator available for Unity so I am in a catch 22 until someone makes something more plug n play.

Hi everyone, i made some progress but it is going slow, you can see that dropdown menu with proper options depends on item type and you can see some floating window that will show item information when you mouse hower an item. Ignore those zeroes btw, not database yet included so it is just for show. Cheers!!!

Thanks for that but sadly i am waiting for new machine currently, basically right now my hands are tied With new PC which i can't wait for, everything will be better, that is the reason why i was inactive on this forum and with that system. I gave my PC to my sister, she is a student now and she need strong machine for 3D modeling, rendering stuff and for other software that she has to work with, so i am good brother and i gave her my own Now i am waiting for my new PC to arrive so i can continue with my work, it will probably take few more days, hope it will be this week. Sorry for delay and thank you for understanding folks Cheers!!!

so it is almost April and no update yet this was suppose to be done by Jan . to mid Jan. I am sorry but I need to move on to something else because at this point it maybe august or next year when this is done. Plus you have to take make doc and vids to help explain the new system. I am kinda disappointed might just with another inventory system for example The InventorySystem - PRO or Inventory Master - uGUI. but I was hoping for this system because it uses playmaker because I am not a programmer. it a sad day for me.

Sorry for my absence and disappearance these days. Have multiple problems but solved many of them - Got new PC - Unity 5 is different from 4... and i am making this directly for Unity 5 - Since i have no job (decided to live life like this without someone to bossing me around) i have to live from something so i helped some people with some projects that took me some time. - Needed some time to explore Unity 5 possibilities and based on that to make new powerful system that will be beyond any other on store and it is still 100% Playmaker. So those are things about me and i am sorry again for not making this update in time. Here is some info for you about inventory and i hope you all will be satisfied with new stuff i am making: Progress so far: - Drag and drop works perfectly - Dynamic inventory with slots (you can decide how you want your inventory to behave in any matter - Easy scrolling (this is done basically with just Unity, no need to program anything) - Way way improved performance with new UI - No more old GUI, no more GUI skins, only UI and all images are sprites and they are very easy to use - Done dropdown Menu so you can choose what actions you want with each item type - Easy inventory arrangement, in settings of Unity UI you can choose how many columns/rows you want, icon sizes, spacing, masks and everything else that will work easy and fast. So as you can see i took every advantage of new Unity 5 and build my system based on that so you people can make games easier. Still have some things to finish, like container, shop, bars on screen and some basic Character Screen but that will be done faster than this since i know how Unity 5 works now. Need to write new GUIDE and record some tutorials as well Thanks you for your support and patience Cheers!!!

Glad to see improvement, sense you need work sine no job, I would be more than happy to let you in on the projects I have going on, if you want to help with them and sell it as partners....I am not much of a coder, however I can break code down okay, as well as I can learn very quick; but in the mean time I have hell of a collection of ideas and features to add to the game and I can do 3d modeling + some animation, I have tools like Unity 5, Maya 2015, brush 4R7, photoshop, Unreal Engine 4, and more. If interested email me after saving that delete this post so it does not publish to Google as that is my private email. If your not interested no worries I understand oh and worth mentioning beyond the projects I am also writing a book so I know I can get pretty creative with the story line / ideas.
