Well usually this kinda type of inventory doesn't need backpack system, but I thinking of tinkering around with basic concept: backpack-item could be handled with boolean variable checking if it is equipped then defined key would open backpack and you could transfer items between main inventory and backpack.
2. also I was thinking of pushable/movable container which could serve as extra storage.

HI! Can you be more specific about this request? If you want backpack system such as small inventory that contains for example 6 items for quick use without entering inventory or something like that? For items such as potions etc to be on your screen while game is on and items can be used when for example HP is low or so?
And for pushable container you mean something like safe storage for unique items that you find and want to store them in your container for later use or do you have something else in mind?
Cheers!

Hi!
Sorry for being little bit unspecific. I was meaning that since user can define how many squares are invetorys size, then for example if inventory is like 5 x 2 and then you find backpack- item , it could extend inventory for example 5x2 etc.
Small quick action bar would be great too.
Yeah I mean storage container that can be accessed even if it is empty and store items for later use.

I see, extendable inventory is also fine idea but I can see some problems here while we expand inventory because it's initial setup and you have to create your GUI based on your inventory height and width + inventory is already unlimited so you can add as many items as you want. Expand inventory is good when you have some limited space, for example 10 items and you find your backpack item it will add additional two slots or something like that. Here we have definition and sorting item system and it is opposite compared to backpacks, no drag and drop... Storage container for later use and some quick bar sounds good and I will look into those ideas later on.
Currently I am working on support for earlier versions at least for Unity 4.00 and Crafting system will be in next update. Later on some of other requested features will be added.
Cheers!
