Hello! So I've watched the youTube video and read through the guide, but I'm having a very basic set up problem.
When my character approaches an item, I don't get the pick up item UI.
Here's what I've done:
Set the layers for GUI Item and GUI Stats Added Character Stats
Added the Game manager
Added the Inventory System
Added the "Normal" Main Character Added the Main Camera Added a few test items to the scene
I did this first, and noticed that my character was running into the item objects on the ground but that the FSM didn't seem to be registering anything. So looking at the FSM for the item, I noticed that the collision event action was set to nothing instead of player. I marked that as Player and that caused the FSM to play a sound on collide but that's it.
Any ideas on what I'm doing wrong?

You need object interact system on your character, that is basically trigger collider that will detect what you approach, items, shop, containers... Add it to your character, set it's position to be on your lower legs or where you want it and there you go Cheers!!!
